Job Description

POSITION: School Nurse(s) (RN)

• One (1) Full time 1:1 position –requires extra hours riding the bus before/after school to PNW BOCES
• Three (3) P/T 1:1 positions
  • 2 hours twice a week (Wed & Thursday 9-11)
  • Approx 20 hours a week riding bus to OUBOCES both morning &afternoon bus runs.
  • Approx 30 hours a week riding bus to Rockland BOCES both morning & afternoon bus runs.

QUALIFICATIONS:              

• MUST have a valid NYS Registered Nurse License
• Fingerprint clearance

JOB DESCRIPTION:   Successful candidate will:

• Demonstrate good knowledge and skill of nursing principles and techniques
• Demonstrate strong communication skills including technical, oral and written language.
• Demonstrate organizational skills involved in record keeping and reporting
• Demonstrate the ability to get along well with students, teachers, parents, and others
• Demonstrate good observation skills; mental alertness; initiative; cheerfulness; patience; emotional stability; sympathetic attitude toward the sick; good moral character; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.
• Have the ability to ride student transportation to and from school.

SALARY:

• As per the Nurse’s Contract

EFFECTIVE DATE OF EMPLOYMENT:               

• On or about 9/2/25
• 1-Year Probationary Period

• Building Principal / Assistant Superintendent for HR
