Job Description

POSITION: School Nurse(s) (RN)

• One (1) Full time 1:1 position –requires extra hours riding the bus before/after school to OU BOCES

                Regular Hours 7:15am-2:30pm

                Bus hours approx. 6:30am-7:15am & 2:30pm-4:30pm              

 

QUALIFICATIONS:              

• MUST have a valid NYS Registered Nurse License
• Fingerprint clearance

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:   Successful candidate will:

• Demonstrate good knowledge and skill of nursing principles and techniques
• Demonstrate strong communication skills including technical, oral and written language.
• Demonstrate organizational skills involved in record keeping and reporting
• Demonstrate the ability to get along well with students, teachers, parents, and others
• Demonstrate good observation skills; mental alertness; initiative; cheerfulness; patience; emotional stability; sympathetic attitude toward the sick; good moral character; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.
• Have the ability to ride student transportation to and from school.

 

SALARY:

• As per the Nurse’s Contract

 

EFFECTIVE DATE OF EMPLOYMENT:               

• On or about 3/20/26
• 1-Year Probationary Period

• Building Principal / Assistant Superintendent for HR
