QUALIFICATIONS: Orange County Civil Service Title #1198
- Good knowledge of driving safety practices and traffic laws and regulations
- Working knowledge of postal terminology and procedures
- Ability to read and write
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license in a class appropriate to the requirements of the appointing authority. Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position
JOB DECRIPTION:
- Delivers materials to schools within a school district or to participating school districts and/or BOCES
- Picks up goods or supplies, including copy center deliveries, at assigned buildings within the district and delivers them to other assigned buildings
- May support in the delivering of food and kitchen supplies
- Performs miscellaneous errands as directed such as making bank deposits or deliveries to student/staff residences
- Delivers all incoming mail to main offices and assists with sorting.
- Distributes mail and inter-office correspondence to and from the various offices within the municipality or school district;
- Transports mail to and from the Post Office including boxes and other heavy materials.
- Will participate in building cleaning tasks including stocking supplies.
REPORTS TO: Director of Facilities
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 11 months, 35 hours per week
SALARY: As per current CSEA contract
